Member Testimonials
“Before Craftworks I had very low self-esteem. I walked down the street with my eyes on the sidewalk. I was scared of being social because I felt unwell. I was scared of talking to new people because I saw myself as disabled because I didn’t earn my own money. These days I feel great! I love the program and going out. I talk a lot. I feel good in public. I walk down the street looking in people’s eyes and smiling! (And they smile back!)”
35-year-old female (mental illness)
“The work provides satisfaction knowing that many children have found pleasure in the things I produce.”
65-year-old male (stroke victim)
“I was always in the work field before I became ill. I found it very hard when I could not work any longer. I was becoming depressed and feeling worthless. Now I feel I can actually do something. I love having the interaction with people who are very friendly and sincerely care.”
40-year-old female (heart disease)
