How to become a client of Craftworks

If you are unable to work because of a disability and you live in the Vancouver area, you are eligible to become a client.  Most of our crafts are projects that include machine sewing, hand sewing, beading, knitting, gluing, drawing and cutting. Craftworks does not teach clients how to sew but will help you to upgrade your sewing skills. Once the Client Manager has assessed your skill level, you will both decide on the types of projects that are suitable for your skill set.

This is not a job but a program designed to improve self esteem while providing clients with a creative outlet. Craftworks pays clients incentive pay for the work they produce.  Craftworks provides each client with a craft kit containing all the pieces needed for a project. The client works from the comfort of his/her home and completes the kits at his/her own pace. We do monthly visits to the client’s home to pick up and deliver new kits as desired or needed.

When you are a new client, the Client Manager can come more often to help when needed. Craftworks pays clients at the end of each month with a cheque by mail.  All finished products must be of the highest quality to sell in the store.
